A庵 (yeah ann) in Shibuya

Friday, February 13–15
¥4,000 — ¥6,000

A庵 (yeah ann) is a project that inserts the smallest unit of space — tatami — into the city, and brings a “contemporary teahouse” to life in response to the atmosphere of each place. For DIG SHIBUYA, we present an immersive installation inspired by the idea of bringing “play” into the teahouse.

By day, it becomes a 40-minute casual tea gathering built around matcha, tea utensils, and the sound of analog records.
By night, it becomes a 50-minute small-group “Shibuya Yaén”, where you enjoy fine drinks while playing traditional games such as Hanafuda .

This project features TATAMIX, tatami embedded with vibration speakers. As the record plays, sound rises through the tatami, adding another layer of depth to the air inside the teahouse.

Experience a moment where stillness and exhilaration, introspection and sociability, can exist at once — reconstructing the teahouse as a contemporary nighttime salon where sensibilities meet.
